The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), vide its Order dated January 28, 2026 (“Order”), has reconstituted the Reinsurance Advisory Committee (RAC) under the powers conferred by Section 101B of the Insurance Act, 1938.
The key highlights of the Order are as follows:

- The RAC is constituted with immediate effect, and its tenure
shall be for a period of three years from the date of the Order.
