The Nodal officer should contact designated officers of the state government immediately and be in regular contact thereafter.
- Ensure all claims are surveyed immediately and claim payments/on account payments are disbursed at the earliest and in any case not exceeding the stipulated time line.
- Adequate number of surveyors may be engaged immediately as required.
- Launch extensive awareness campaign in the affected states duly highlighting the measures taken by the Company.
- To encourage policyholders to use electronic communication wherever possible for correspondence while intimating the claim and filing all the relevant documents and ensure digital processes are resorted for assessment of claims.
All General Insurance companies are advised to submit claims data on a monthly basis in the format prescribed.
