IRDAI – Reconstitution of IAC

The IRDAI has issued a notification bearing reference number IRDAI/IAC/1/215/2026, dated March 12, 2026, notifying the reconstitution of Insurance Advisory Committee (” IAC “) that shall be effective from the date of publication in official gazette.

The notification is issued in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the IRDA Act, 1999, and in terms of Regulation 3A of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Insurance Advisory Committee) Regulations, 2000.

The following are appointed as the members of the reconstituted Insurance Advisory Committee:

  1. Chairman of Executive Committee of Life Insurance Council
  2. Chairman of Executive Committee of General Insurance Council
  3. President, Institute of Actuaries of India
  4. President, Insurance Brokers’ Association of India
  5. President, Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors
  6. Director, National Insurance Academy
  7. Shri. Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
  8. Ms. Jyoti Vij, Director General, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)
  9. Shri. Saurabh Sanyal, Secretary General, Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)
  10. Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO)
  11. Dr. Ashok Gulati, Professor, Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER)
  12. Dr. Charan Singh, CEO, Foundation for Economic growth and Welfare (EGROW Foundation)
